The Vineyard
Hidden behind a luxuriant forest, the domain spreads over the crests and small valleys of Lorgues commune, in the center of Provence. Well-know since the middle-age, CLC holds in olives cultivation at first, the 200 hectares have been abandoned because of the terrible and hard frost of 1956, which scarified a big part of trees.
The vineyard was truly created in 1986, thanks to a passionately fond of French investors. 40 hectares will be planted on that stony soil made up of clay to limestone, which complete the Domain to 53 hectares of exceptional sunniness for vines.
Later, an ultra-modern and automated wine cellar with fully air-conditionning will later replace the old installation and a new winery will be built.
The Château les Crostes production get out of the anonymity.
Since 1998, the vineyard has been purchased by an international holding company which invests again to produce a great Côtes de Provence.
